​Ashleigh is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. She earned her Bachelor of Social Work degree, with a minor in History, from Lakehead University. Throughout her education and professional experiences, she developed a passion for supporting individuals through periods of growth, change, and self-discovery.
 
Ashleigh approaches counselling from a client-centered and solution-focused perspective; helping individuals recognize patterns, gain insight, and develop practical strategies to navigate life’s challenges. ​

She views counselling as a collaborative process and strives to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered.
 
One of Ashleigh’s favourite parts of counselling is continuing to learn outside of sessions through ongoing research and professional development to best support her clients’ unique needs. She believes learning is an ongoing journey and values adapting her approach to ensure clients feel supported in ways that are meaningful to them.
 
Ashleigh draws from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and attachment-based approaches. She recognizes that each client is the expert in their own life and values working collaboratively to help clients achieve their goals.
 
Ashleigh has experience working with children, teenagers, and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, learning disabilities, emotional regulation difficulties, and self-esteem concerns. She takes a neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based approach and has a passion for supporting individuals as they explore their identity and develop self-acceptance.
 
Outside of her practice, Ashleigh enjoys travelling, spending time with loved ones, going for walks outdoors, and relaxing with her cat.
