Ellen has received an Honours Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Psychology through Lakehead University and her Master’s of Arts in Counseling Psychology Degree through Yorkville University. Ellen’s work experience includes supporting adults and youth with developmental disabilities, as well as mental health support and programming at Children’s Centre Thunder Bay in the live-in treatment house, day treatment classroom, and with Complex Special Needs youth. Ellen had the opportunity to facilitate group DBT sessions with youth and their families during her time at Children’s Centre, as well as working with clients from diverse backgrounds and needs. Ellen is excited to further enhance her skills working with various therapeutic modalities including CBT, Strengths-based, Client-Centered Therapy, as well as incorporating mindfulness into counselling. Ellen is passionate about connecting with others and believes healing occurs through our relationships with ourselves and others.
