We’re trying to do important things here at Kelly Mental Health, and are always searching for the right people to add to our team.
Aside from publicly fighting the stigma around mental health issues, bringing light to the real issues that people go through, and being human and approachable ourselves, our primary mission to heal our community is done by connecting with individual people to provide professional counselling services.
The successful candidate is fascinated by trauma work and the human experience, and wishes to join us in our mission of providing the highest quality psychotherapy and counselling services to our community members.
The ideal candidate will have training in concurrent disorders, trauma, and a good understanding of the legacy of the Indian Residential School system given its impact in our community. We commit to providing training, supervision, and support to the right applicant no matter their experience level.
Staff members are able to set their own ideal schedule, chart in a centralized record system, access clinical supervision, participate in clinical team meetings, monthly consultation sessions for specific interventions (e.g., EMDR team, Couples Counselling team), engage in ongoing training opportunities, and be brave in what is commonly considered one of the most challenging and rewarding careers as trauma-focused mental health specialists. (To be fair, our robust support staff makes it easy for clinicians to focus on doing what they do best so they can go home at the end of the day able to be present with their families).

Internships at Kelly Mental Health
Kelly Mental Health is committed to training mental health professionals to be the best they can be.
As a teaching facility, our interns will learn through observing sessions, co-facilitating groups and intakes, and leading sessions under supervision. We offer a safe and comfortable environment for students to gain as much experience as possible before starting their professional journeys. Internships are a great way for students to be given the chance to put what they are learning into action, in a real-world environment. This helps them better understand the theories and strategies they have been learning about and giving them a greater focus for future clients.
All interns are under the direct supervision or either Master Level Social Worker or a Registered Psychotherapist.
